Ordering

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

When you see an item you like, click on the product and you will be taken to the product information page. Here, select the quantity, click “Add to cart” and continue shopping until you are ready to complete your purchase. When you want to go to the checkout area to confirm your order, go to 'My shopping cart' and follow the steps provided to complete your order. You can review your products before payment.

WHAT IF AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK? 

Although Delika.eu strives to display the correct availability of our products, we are a small shop and an item may go out-of-stock at the same time as your order. We will contact you via email to provide you with an estimated shipping date. Any other items will be shipped as usual and we will ship the backordered item at no cost. Should you choose not to wait, you will be given the option to exchange the backordered item or receive a refund for the retail price of the item. 

WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Once you submitted your order and made the payment, we can no longer change it. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return your purchase to us within 14 days. Please review our returns and exchanges policy for more information.

DO YOU PROVIDE GIFT WRAPPING?

We would be glad to gift wrap your items, free of charge. Please indicate if you would like to have your order gift wrapped in the checkbox on the checkout page. You can also include a message with your order. Please include the message in the message box on the address page. We will write your message on the card that will be included with your order. 
 

Payment

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?

All major credit and debit cards are accepted worldwide via PayPal. A PayPal account is not necessary to make a transaction. We do not store your card details, these details are only being used by our payment partner PayPal. Would you prefer completing your order first and paying afterwards? Not a problem. You can also choose to make a bank transfer. If you chose to pay with a bank transfer please note that the payment must be in our account within 3 working days from placing your order and we'll only ship your order once we've received your payment. Please send payment to the below account and write your order number on the transfer.

WHAT CURRENCIES CAN I USE?

As we are based in Belgium, payments are made in Euro €. All our prices are calculated to current rates of currency exchange. Some banks exchange rates may vary slightly from prices shown.

VAT

All our prices include 21% VAT. Customers outside of the European Union, can shop tax free and will not be charged for any tax. The full amount will first be reserved on your credit card, the 21% VAT will be excluded from the total amount that you pay when the actual purchase goes through. 

HOW IS MY INFORMATION SECURE?

Delika.eu has many security measures in place to protect your personal data. We use SSL [Secure Sockets Layer] encryption technology for all orders and information transfers. All your personal information is stored in an encrypted form at all times. We do not store your card details, these details are only being used by our payment partner PayPal.

DO YOU DELIVER IN MY COUNTRY?

We ship worldwide. Unfortunately it can be quite expensive to ship to destinations outside of Europe.

HOW MUCH WILL DELIVERY TO MY ADDRESS COST?

We've done our best to make delivery as simple and cost effective for you as possible. That's why Delika charges flat rate shipping rates. Please check our Delivery info page for further details.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

When your order begins its journey to you, you'll receive a shipment confirmation email containing a tracking link. Orders normally ship within 48 hours as we carry most items in stock. If we cannot ship within 48 hours we will contact you with the new shipment date via email. Friday orders will ship on the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will also ship on the following Monday (excluding holidays).

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY ORDER?

All the items in stock will be shipped within 48 hours. Deliveries are done Monday-Friday during regular business hours. For estimated delivery times to your country, please check our delivery info page. If the order includes several items that have different delivery times, the items will be sent together when the order is complete.

WHICH SHIPPING CARRIER DO YOU WORK WITH?

All packages ordered on delika.eu are shipped by our partner bpost. Deliveries will be on working days between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. bpost will deliver your parcel to the address you specified in the checkout. If nobody is home, bpost will leave a note which can be used to request another delivery attempt, either to the same address or to another address or one of bpost’s collection points. If you fail to arrange a new delivery within 2 weeks of confirming the order, or if you are once again absent when bpost tries to redeliver, the order will be returned to Delika. We will then contact you to arrange the delivery of your order. In this case, you may be asked to pay the additional delivery costs. To avoid not being at home at time of delivery, we recommend you to give up your work address as delivery address.

HOW DO I TRACE MY PARCEL?

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail confirming the order and the payment. This e-mail will include a tracking link.

returns and exchanges

HOW MANY DAYS DO I HAVE TO RETURN THE PRODUCT?

We hope you love your purchase, but we understand that some things just don't work out as planned. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with an item, you can return your purchase for a full refund within 14 days from delivery date. Purchases during the holiday season (November 14-December 24) may be returned until January 14 of the following year. Please note that all items discounted by 30% or more are final sale and cannot be returned.

HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM?

Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order, so we can discuss a return. You can use our contact form or send an e-mail to hello@delika.eu stating your order number and the nature of the problem. Packages sent back without a prior email will not be accepted. Returned goods must be delivered to us unused, in their original packaging and in the condition they were received. Make sure all returned items are well packaged, as not to be damaged in the post. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the item(s) or proof of received return delivery. Once returned, you will be entitled to receive an exchange or a refund, which will not include the cost of the original postage and packaging. Please allow 1 week from when we receive your return for it to be processed.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED MY RETURN?

As soon as your return has been processed, we'll e-mail you to let you know. In the unlikely event that you don't receive this e-mail within 15 days of posting your parcel to us, please get in touch at hello@delika.eu, and we will investigate into the status of the return. Please do obtain a proof of shipment from your local mail company and note the return label number for your own records.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?

We will process a refund within 5 working days of receiving your parcel, and email to let you know we have received and processed it. After the receipt of this email please allow another 5-10 working days for the refund to be credited to your account. The amount of time this takes will depend on which bank or card issuer you're with. We will credit your refund to the same card or payment methodology you used when you placed your order.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY PURCHASE?

If you’re not fully pleased with what you have purchased, you will need to return your item to us for a full refund and then place a new order.

THE ITEM I RECEIVED WASN’T THE RIGHT ONE!

We’re so sorry - it is extremely rare that this happens. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order, so we can discuss a return. You can use our contact form or send an e-mail to: hello@delika.eu quoting ‘wrong item’ as the reason for return. If this is agreed by our returns team, your post and packaging charges will be fully refunded, along with the cost of the item of course. Packages sent back without a prior e-mail will not be accepted. Only shipping costs for return via regular post will be refunded.

MY PRODUCT ARRIVED DAMAGED. WHAT DO I DO?

We take care to inspect and pack our products carefully to ensure that they arrive in new condition. If by any chance damage does occur, please contact us immediately on hello@delika.eu within seven working days of shipment receipt to arrange for a replacement or reimbursement. Please return the original item, product packaging and all packing material. Your post and packaging charges will be fully refunded, along with the cost of the item if you chose to be reimbursed. Packages sent back without a prior e-mail will not be accepted. Only shipping costs for return via regular post will be refunded. Delika.eu reserves the right to reject returned items or refuse a refund if the items have been damaged by the customer or if they are not returned in accordance with our returns policy.

DO I NEED TO SIGN UP?

To order on delika.eu you need to set up an account; this will allow you to order without having to enter in your details every time you would like to shop. You can set up an account right now, or you can start shopping straight away and set up your account when you check out, whichever suits you best.

Once you have signed up, you will be able to log into My Account anytime you like. This is the place to go if you want to change your password, delivery information, email address or e-mail preferences.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO STORE MY JEWELLERY?

We recommend storing your jewellery in a closed box or plastic bag. Silver will tarnish when left out exposed to air. Storing in a plastic bag will help keep it from tarnishing. Even gold-plated items can get slightly darker in colour if just sitting out exposed to air so we recommend storing them in closed jewellery box or bag.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELLERY?

Every piece of jewellery is handmade and delicate. To enjoy your jewellery for a long time, please use the appropriate care. The most important step you can take to insure a long lasting gold finish is to avoid direct contact with water (salt or fresh), excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as chlorine, sulphur, perfume, detergent and lotion. Excessive light, heat or moisture will deteriorate the quality of plating on the metal. Exposing plated jewellery to prolonged periods of water will cause the plating to disintegrate, peel off, and or lose its matte finish. Delika’s collections primarily consist of jewellery made of gold plated brass or gold vermeil, which are pieces made from brass or sterling silver and dipped in gold. We also sell sterling silver and gold-filled jewellery.

All of our jewellery can be cleaned in the same manner. We recommend using a mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and pat dry. Jewellery cleaners can be too harsh and may contain abrasives. Excessive polishing will rub off the plating and is not recommended. Note that some gemstones do not stand the force of cleaning agents, polishing cloths or ultrasonic cleaners. Make sure any cleaners you use are safe for use on pearls or gemstones.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOLD-PLATED, STERLING SILVER, VERMEIL, AND GOLD-FILLED? WHAT DOES KARAT MEAN?

• Gold-plated: A base metal such as steel or brass is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution, with a lump of solid gold. When an electric current is applied, a thin layer of gold is deposited on the metal.
• Sterling silver: is a mixture of pure silver and some other metal, usually copper. The resulting alloy gives the silver strength. The standard is at least 92.5% silver.
• Vermeil: is sterling silver that has been gold-plated. The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used. In vermeil, the base is sterling silver.
• Gold-filled: also called rolled-gold. These jewellery items are not actually filled with gold. They are made of a base metal (usually brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight.
• Gold Purity – Karats: The karat is a very old measure of how much gold is in a gold-blend. A measure of 1 Karat is where there is 1 part of pure gold and 23 parts of metal alloy - or 4% gold. So 24K is 100% pure gold. 9K is 37%, 14K is 58%, 18K is 75%.
